Driving times to The Log Cabin:

Directions:
From Waihi
Head out of Waihi on SH2 towards Paeroa / Auckland and pass into the 70 kmh zone.
Just past the Rocket Playground Rest Area turn left into Kenny Street.
Turn right 50 metres on into Victoria Street (signposted "Play Centre)
and keep going out of town for about 10km. Franklin Road is on your left,
just past the Waitawheta Camp (on your right).
Continue down Franklin Road, over the single lane bridge for 2km.
Our driveway is on the left hand side, signposted 'The Log Cabin'
From Paeroa
Travel through the Karangahake Gorge.
Once you're through the Gorge take the 1st turning on the right,
'Waitawheta Rd' signposted 'Owharoa Falls'.
Cross the single lane bridge.
Continue up the hill and over the bridge at the top of the falls.
Franklin Rd is approximately 4km further on and on the right hand side.
Continue down Franklin Road, over the single lane bridge for 2km.

From Katikati
Travel through the Athenree Gorge.
After the Gorge take 'Old Tauranga Rd' which is on the left and signposted 'Waihi Golf Club'.
Continue on this road for approximately 6km until you have to give way at a crossroads.
Turn left onto 'Waitawheta Rd'.
Continue on this road for about 5km.
Franklin Road is on your left, just past the Waitawheta Camp (on your right).
Continue down Franklin Road, over the single lane bridge for 2km.
